Expert Witness
Food Lacquer Products Liability Case
Dr Constantin Gehriger on the courthouse steps
"I recently had a products liability case in which I represented a manufacturer of food lacquers. I needed an expert in chemistry to assist me in understanding the Plaintiff's contentions and also to assist me in developing defenses to the Plaintiff's claims. I retained Dr. Gehriger and was extremely pleased with the assistance he provided. I found him to be very thorough as well as creative in his approach to my case. In short, I was very satisfied with his work."

Plating Industry Invention
I needed Dr. Constantin Gehriger to judge the merits of an invention in the plating industry that was going to revolutionize the way the effluents would be handled in the future. My client was the inventor that had worked for years on each and every step of the plating process and even built a prototype of the equipment that would revolutionize how effluent streams would be handled in the future.

The liquid streams containing acids, heavy metal, and solvents would be kept separate and would allow cost savings and a cleanliness of the processes that had never been achieved in the industry before. Unfortunately, my client inventor fell on hard times and had to put the prototype in storage. When he could not come up for the rent, the storage facility owner sold off his prototype for the value of the material, without properly notifying my client. My client was devastated. Years of work had been destroyed. All the ingenuity that had gone into the prototype could not been show to anyone. How could he go on with his life? At this point we needed the help of Dr. Constantin Gehriger. He looked at the technical value of the invention. He was convinced that it had merit. He sat on my side during the deposition. He did such a thorough job that at the end we could settle the case for $1.2 Millions.
